Combat Diver (CDQC)
The Combat Diver Qualification Course (CDQC) certification is an advanced maritime qualification available to operators within MSOT 8213 – Task Force Raven. This certification represents successful completion of combat diver training, enabling underwater infiltration, reconnaissance, and subsurface operations using closed- and open-circuit SCUBA systems.
It is modeled after the U.S. Navy Combat Diver Course and is regarded as one of the most physically and mentally demanding certifications in SOCOM.
Responsibilities
[edit]- Conduct underwater infiltration in support of MSOT missions.
- Operate closed- and open-circuit SCUBA systems safely.
- Navigate underwater using compass and kick-cycle methods.
- Conduct hydrographic reconnaissance and beach surveys.
- Support amphibious operations, including CRRC insertions and recovery.
- Advise leadership on maritime infil/exfil options and risks.
Training Required
[edit]- Must be a Critical Skills Operator (CSO) in good standing.
- Must complete the Combat Diver Training Course.
