The '''Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman (SARC)''' is the medical specialist within '''MSOT 8213 – Task Force Raven'''.  
SARCs are Navy Corpsmen assigned to Marine Special Operations Teams and provide advanced medical care, casualty evacuation coordination, and serve as the team’s subject matter expert in Advanced Combat Medicine (ACM).  

Within Task Force Raven, the SARC billet ensures the team’s survivability in high-risk operations and leads medical training for other operators.

== Responsibilities ==

* Serve as the team’s primary medical provider during training and operations.  
* Deliver advanced medical treatment using the ACM system.  
* Plan and coordinate CASEVAC and MEDEVAC operations.  
* Manage the team’s medical equipment and supply inventory.  
* Train Critical Skills Operators (CSOs) in basic ACM procedures.  
* Advise leadership on medical risk and casualty management.

== Training Required ==

* Completion of the SARC Training Course
* Familiarity with ACM treatment categories:  
** Airway management  
** Breathing and circulation  
** Hemorrhage control

* Proficiency in ACM advanced treatments (airways, IV/IO, meds).  
* Ability to stabilize casualties under hostile conditions.  
* Knowledge of triage and prioritization under ACM framework.  
* Competence in applying tourniquets, pressure bandages, chest seals, and IV/IO access.  
* Skilled in casualty evacuation planning and execution.  
* Ability to instruct CSOs in basic ACM (tourniquets, bleeding control, airway basics).

The SARC carries all standard CSO equipment and is additionally equipped with:  
* Advanced ACM medical kit (airways, IV fluids, surgical tools, medication).  
* Medical rucksack for sustainment operations.  
* Additional supplies to resupply team-level kits.
