The Sustainment & Evaluations program ensures that all members of MSOT 8213 – Task Force Raven maintain proficiency in core skills, billets, and advanced qualifications. All operators are expected to attend recurring sustainment training and participate in evaluations to validate their readiness for operations.

Training Schedule

[edit]
  • Weekly sustainment training is conducted on Sundays at 9:00 PM EST.
  • Training scenarios and locations vary depending on focus.
  • Attendance is mandatory unless excused by leadership.

Sustainment Training

[edit]

Sustainment training reinforces core Raider skills and prevents skill degradation. Each session typically includes:

  • Marksmanship – weapons handling, qualification refreshers
  • Tactics – small-unit tactics, CQB, and field maneuvers
  • Medical – TCCC refreshers under ACM system
  • Communications – ACRE2 radio drills and reporting formats
  • Billet Proficiency – focused training for specialized billets (RO, Breacher, DM, etc.)
  • Mission Rehearsals – simulated scenarios preparing for operations

Evaluations

[edit]

Evaluations ensure all operators remain proficient and mission-ready.

  • Frequency: Quarterly (every 3 months)
  • Format: Scenario-based events testing both individual and team skills
  • Focus areas include:
    • Core CSO skills (marksmanship, medical, communications, navigation)
    • Billet-specific responsibilities
    • Execution of mission orders as part of the MSOT

Operators must demonstrate proficiency in their billet and core tasks to remain in good standing.

Standards

[edit]
  • Operators are expected to maintain readiness equal to the level achieved at ITC.
  • Failure to attend sustainment training or pass evaluations may result in remedial training or reassignment.
  • Consistently high performance may be recognized with leadership opportunities or advanced training slots.

Summary

[edit]

The Sustainment & Evaluations program ensures that Task Force Raven remains a capable, disciplined, and effective MSOT. Through weekly sustainment training and regular evaluations, operators maintain the edge required to succeed in special operations missions.
