The Mobility / Vehicle Operator is a specialized billet within MSOT 8213 – Task Force Raven. Mobility operators are responsible for maintaining and operating the team’s ground mobility assets, ensuring that the MSOT can move rapidly, safely, and effectively to accomplish its mission.
They provide convoy discipline, vehicle recovery capability, and mission planning support for mounted operations.
Responsibilities
[edit]- Serve as primary operator and maintainer of assigned vehicles.
- Conduct pre-mission inspections and ensure vehicles are mission-ready.
- Execute convoy operations, including spacing, comms, and formation discipline.
- Support logistics and sustainment by transporting personnel and equipment.
- Conduct vehicle recovery operations in the field.
- Train CSOs in basic convoy procedures and vehicle handling.
Training Required
