The Team Leader is the commanding officer of MSOT 8213 – Task Force Raven. The Team Leader holds overall responsibility for the team, including planning, execution, and mission success. This billet is modeled after the role of a MARSOC Raider Officer assigned as an MSOT commander.


Responsibilities

  • Exercise overall command and control of the MSOT.
  • Lead mission planning and execution.
  • Supervise all subordinate billets and ensure proper integration.
  • Coordinate with higher headquarters and supporting elements.
  • Ensure discipline, readiness, and welfare of the team.
  • Serve as the primary decision-maker during operations.

Training Required

  • Must be a Critical Skills Operator (CSO) in good standing.
  • Prior leadership experience as an Element Leader is highly recommended.
  • Advanced certifications are a positive.
  • Familiarity with mission planning tools, orders process, and leadership doctrine.

  • Proficiency in mission planning and briefing formats.
  • Knowledge of all billets within the MSOT and their integration.
