This page serves as the hub for all billets and advanced qualifications within MSOT 8213 – Task Force Raven. Every member begins as a Critical Skills Operator (CSO) after completing ITC. From there, operators may be assigned billets and pursue advanced certifications to expand their skillsets.
Core Operator Billets
The foundational billets held by every Raider.
- Critical Skills Operator (CSO) – Baseline billet for all members of Task Force Raven.
Leadership Billets
These billets represent command and senior enlisted leadership within the MSOT.
- Team Leader – Overall command of the MSOT.
- Team Chief – Senior enlisted advisor and disciplinarian.
- Operations SNCO – Assists headquarters in planning, training, and logistics.
- Element Leader – Leads an MSOT element in operations.
Specialized Billets
Specialized billets provide advanced capability within the MSOT. Operators may volunteer or be assigned based on unit needs.
- Radio Operator (RO) – Manages communications and fire support requests.
- SARC (Special Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman) – Advanced medical specialist.
- Breacher – Conducts explosive, ballistic, and mechanical breaching.
- Designated Marksman (DM) – Provides precision fire within the team.
- JTAC – Coordinates close air support (CAS) and indirect fires.
- Sniper/Recce – Conducts reconnaissance, surveillance, and long-range precision fire.
- EOD/Engineer Support – Defeats IEDs and manages demolitions.
- Mobility/Vehicle Operator – Responsible for vehicle operations, convoy discipline, and recovery.
Advanced Qualifications
Advanced qualifications are specialized certifications that operators may earn in addition to their billet. These schools enhance the team’s flexibility and capability, modeled after real-world MARSOC/SOCOM training.
Airborne & Freefall
- Basic Airborne (Static Line) – Static-line parachutist qualification.
- Military Free-Fall (HALO/HAHO) – High-altitude insertion using oxygen systems.
Maritime
- Combat Diver (CDQC) – Closed- and open-circuit SCUBA infiltration.
- Amphibious Operations – CRRC and Visit/Board/Search/Seizure (VBSS).
Precision & Fires
- SOF Sniper – Advanced sniper and reconnaissance course.
- JTAC Certification – Certification for advanced fire support coordination.
Demolitions & Breaching
- Advanced Demolitions – Complex charges and structural demolitions.
- Master Breacher – Advanced breaching qualification.
Medical
- TCCC Instructor – Certified to teach Tactical Combat Casualty Care (ACM in Arma).
- SOF Medical (SOCM) – Advanced Special Operations medic training (for SARCs).
Reconnaissance & Survival
- SERE-C – Survival, Evasion, Resistance, Escape – High-risk environment.
- Advanced Reconnaissance – Specialized surveillance and reporting.
Mobility
- Advanced Driving – Off-road and convoy defense training.
- Air Assault – Helicopter insertion and extraction qualification.
